  3. My sister's granddaughter:

Eva is in the way of a boy at school and he says, "Could you move, Princess?" Later when asked if she was dressed as a princess, she said "No, he could just tell."

  5. Jo called this morning to see if I was okay. After, let the dog out, and fed the critters, went back to bed. River's back down, running in the top of its culverts. Not raining, but we're still under a flood watch till tomorrow. Some more biggies on the radar, and then nothing for a while.

  6. Hi guys!

Here's one of my friend Linda Rose's thoughts for the day. This one's a true gem.

"Blessed are those who can give without remembering and take without forgetting."

  8. Thanks, Alan. Politicians never change, do they? Science, especially Space Science is stupid and expendable, just like Art and Music are stupid and expendable. *sigh*

Say, is it supposed to be summer still? Cuttent temperature 65. That was also yesterday's high -- third coldest Labor Day on record.

Well, I don't know. As I read the article, it wasn't a science program that was shut down -- it was a military rocket program. And it so happened that the science program that was piggybacking on that rocket program went ahead anyway.

  19. Well, the flood warning's been backed off to a flood watch. But they extended the flood watch till Thursday. I need to get to *town*. . . . guess I'll settle for John's store. Ah. Well.
