And I'm with you on the cost of owning pets in this day and age. Vet's coming tomorrow (sharing her travel fee with the neighbor up the hill, who has a 16 year old Chow that can no longer get into her ATV). Which is a blessing for Stevie, who doesn't handle stress well. And Beau needs to be ummm'd soon. The cost took my breath away (been ten years since I had to look at the cost. . . . ). Whew!
Evidently the heron has been coming more than I've been aware of. Same deal today: Beau barking, I go to see, and there's the heron. Amazing bird, and bless my in-home heron detector.
