Just saw this...it wasn't at Ally's website, but on a family page. Ally's Mommy writes:

Had a super fun day with Ally at my school today...too bad it had to end with a 99.9 temp for her... hopefully it's just a short thing and we won't end up at the hospital.
I expect to see her Grammie at the Wedding Shower, though.
Keep those mercies flowing my way, please. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night as my room is between the elevator & ice machine and the outside entrance to the lobby. The English-speakers reveled until 2:00am and the Spanish-speakers got up at 6:30am. In between, the A/C wasn't working, so my room was about 80 degrees, and if I opened the sliding door to the outdoors a motorcycle would arrive to check in.
Looking forward to sleeping in my own bed tonight. And don't worry. If I'm too tired to drive I have no difficulty pulling off and using my handy dandy neck pillow!

Traveling mercies continue. Hope you got a partial refund for the no A/C. . . .
Sposed to rain today, and the next five. Lower 80's trending up. 63% humidity, ugh. Still: the green people like it fine, so, what's a gardener gonna wish for, lol!?
Got on the scales yesterday morning (only a sometime thing) and I weigh less than I have since I was working as an aide in the nursing home before I went home to take care of my mother (12 years ago!). Thank you Dr. Atkins!!! That's about fifty pounds since Edwin died. Knees are grateful, too.
Thanks! I don't mind overcast until it's going on a month or so, steady. Keeps the heat down a bit.
I was thinking that Beau looks a good bit like some of your Mum's puppies. Now that she's keeping one, is she still going to raise others? They're exhaustifying, lol!
I think she's taking a break. She has three dogs now, and spends a lot of time doing flyball, agility training, and animal-assisted therapy. There was a nice article about her in the newsletter of one of her organizations--I've got it as a pdf.
You could probably open a pdf in Google Docs. I've had to use that a lot when I'm out and about with my netbook, which never had a proper install of the Microsoft Office suite.
Howard Dean and certain young lovers are First! ♥♥

Congrats, puddle.
ReplyDeleteIt just rained here. And then stopped. Mostly it's oppressively overcast.

ReplyDeleteWish I could read pdf's but sumpin's wrong wit da computer, and no one seems to know how to fix it. Wish I *understood* the need for 'em, lol!
ReplyDeleteI was thinking about what a good service dog Beau'd make. I have *never* had an animal so eager to learn, and who learns so easily.
He really seems like a sweetie.

Thanks! I'll take a look.
ReplyDeleteHi, Renee!!
ReplyDeleteHi Renee! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm hoooome. Nothing like home in all the world. Ahhhhhh.
The wedding shower went quite well, and I managed to drive home without taking a nap along the way. Fading fast now. But glad for the happy day.
