  2. You guess well!

Back...after the lights glitched and our wifi was down for most of the evening.

Didn't lose lights, just wifi! Mah*Sweetie is home now, though, and showed me how to reset the box as needed. I am so grateful.

  5. A new (and shocking to me) complication in the Weiner case:

The scoundrel deserves to be either:
    a) flogged
    b) keelhauled

Either one would probably do him a world of good.

  7. Yow. Well, then, who better for Ms, Abedin to go off to Africa with than Hilary Clinton? Maybe. You have to wonder whether Hilary will counsel staying or leaving. Staying if she's glad she did. Leaving if she's had afterthoughts. If Ms. Abedin gives her husband one more chance, he'd better not mess up. But, really, he does sound extremely habitual. Has there been any word about him seeking some serous counseling?

    From today's FAS "Secrecy News:"

NSA DECLASSIFIES 200 YEAR OLD REPORT

The National Security Agency announced yesterday that it has declassified a report that is over two hundred years old.

The newly declassified report, entitled "Cryptology: Instruction Book on the Art of Secret Writing," dates from 1809. It is part of a collection of 50,000 pages of historic records that have just been declassified by NSA and transferred to the National Archives.

Here, too. Rained pretty steady from aboutn midnight to 10 a.m. Serious thunder and lightening throughout. But rain stopped several hours ago, with temps now in the 50s (40 deg less than yesterday).

  14. Well, physically, that's not really possible tonight. Storms here most often come from the NW and head SE, as are these. Last night's were similar. We got those too!

Of course, at other times there's an offshore system that spins counterclockwise, so we get weather from the NE instead...our classic nor'easters! It would probably take a hurricane running up the coast for me to receive your weather.

    It has happened.

  17. Please remember to vote, if you are able, for the Root Center so they can build a dome greenhouse and feed the hungry year 'round! They went from #145 to #59 in just a week! Let's see if we can get them to the top! We can vote every day through June 30th!

  18. Pretty sure puddle said it's 7 hours down and 7 hours back. Plus she'll have that big ole puppy on the return. Would hope she'd spend the night at her friend's to rest up and get to know her new puppy. Rough guess? Late tomorrow night.

I agree that it would make sense for her to stay overnight, although the way she expressed it almost sounded like she was thinking of one continuous round trip. But whichever, hope it works out for her.

  20. Serious counseling--like with a cat-o'-nine tails? With a baseball bat would be too harsh, I think.
