RE the coat discussion on the last thread: Alan, you silver tongued devil. *grin*
Actually, I have been accused, and it definitely was an accusation, of being a Socialist. I took it as a compliment, naturally, which rather disconcerted my interlocutor.
listener, I just fell in love with that blue, bottle blue is it? Had to sit on my hands to keep from ordering it on the spot. I have a wine colored barn coat with a cotton lining and a tan or maybe oatmeal colored one with flannel. Sometimes also wear Mum's loden(sp?) green one, also with flannel lining. But, that blue just stole my heart. Of course, I've always been a pushover for blue.
Have I mentioned how much I love living in the country? Just called the garage. I need my rear brakes replaced (the fronts were done this summer, and that mechanic, big city guy, said NOT to try to get through the winter with them. Next oil change. . . So, getting them replaced, oil change, and a new sticker. Thursday. Which means: I leave my key on the seat, along with my registration and insurance card. The guys pick up Ludmilla on the way to work, and drop her off after. And I get in to pay the bill when I'm able. . . . They don't charge extra for this. So very *human* this country life. Only thing I have to do is readjust the seat after she's home. The guys have really long legs, lol!
listener, that pix looks exactly like the walking trails in the park not too far from me. Love walking there among the trees.
My head is spinning like the girl in The Exorcist movie. I have new books from the library, new magazines from the store and my new DVD collection of the Avatar Special Edition Extended Version.
I did go to Tai Chi today, but I believe I'll indulge myself this evening and remain totally useless to anyone but myself.
Bill, just sent the story as a Word document attachment. Let me know if you need it in some other format. It shouldn't take too long to read, being just over sixteen pages. Whenever you get to it will be fine, since I know how busy you are.
Well, Susan, keep checking in to see the photos this week, then. I think there is one thing about this walk that is different than your park. At least I hope so. ♥
Back when I had my Honda Civic Hybrid, I got home and carried some stuff into the house. I think the phone rang at that point. Around 6:00am I wondered what that odd sound was. Yep, I had left the car running all night long. And do you know what? It hadn't overheated at all.

Howard Dean is co-firstliest, right up there with a good coat for Winter. Especially if you live where there's a lot of Winter.
ReplyDeleteCat~
ReplyDeleteFor some reason my ISP is telling me it can't find a server called earthlink.net. My e-mail address is:

Troo dat!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quiet sweet misty rainy day. Been a while since we've had one, think I'll rejoice.
ReplyDeleteBill, it's always possible that I mistyped. Thanks. I'll get that story off to you.
ReplyDeletePuddle, how loverly. It's not that romantic here, just grey and cold.

ReplyDeleteWorking on a new lyric, "Carly Loves Me." Mercifully for you guys, though, it's not ready for prime time.
ReplyDeleteI like "Carly." It's a little bit unusual, and a pretty name to my mind.
The way life ought'a be.

Can't decide what to dive into first!
Ooh, Susan. What a great problem to have. Enjoy yourself!

ReplyDeleteSo I checked my in-box, and it was there. No problem opening it.
ReplyDeleteYup, it's the same up here, too, puddle. Wouldn't trade it for a moment.

ReplyDeleteMmmm. Nice. I love to sit out on the back porch during mist and soft rain.
ReplyDeleteI can hardly wait until the coats arrive to see which to keep!!
ReplyDeleteI love the blue too, and blue is my favourite colour.
But I like the red to go with the hat and to be safe in the woods.
What to do? Won't it be interesting to see which one is mine?
Well, I *used* to keep the key in the ignition, but I ran the battery down too many times. Never locked myself out, though, lol!
ReplyDeleteTurns out I got it read tonight -- my client isn't working me as hard as he "should."
ReplyDeleteVery good concept. A few rough spots, mostly related to the time machine in alternate universes. I'll think about them a bit more and e-mail you.
Oh, and one instance of the wrong choice of same-sounding word. A wheelchair has brakes, not breaks. And least, I hope it doesn't have breaks. :)

ReplyDeleteHaving quoted Albert Alligator about himself, I saw only one way forward [grin].
ReplyDeleteSame thing with the seat when I take our cars to the shop!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's a good sound. And it's androgynous, isn't it? Well, maybe not. Dunno.
