Hi, listener. Thought you were going to be away? Not that I'm not glad to see you, you understand, I just understood you wouldn't be around for a few days.
After getting up, cleaning house, and calling a dear friend whose son died a year ago, someone is coming to meet for spiritual guidance, then I gobble a late lunch and head over to work at the Library. Then I come home, gobble a quick dinner, then have Granddaughter*in*VT over for the evening.
That's going to be a day that results in being "out" as soon as my head hits the pillow! LOL!
It seems Noah has the basic makings of a physician, and Tanner doesn't... no way I could have been a medical student, because I couldn't see pithing a frog in Biolgoy 1A lab... I did OK anyway.
Dang! For some reason AppleQuicktime, which I had already installed, disappeared, and I had to download it again. It was taking forever, and slowing browsing to a virtual standstill. After struggling for a couple of hours and since I was up early, I went up to take a nap while it finished, and missed a phone call frum ma hunny! Double dirty dang!!!! All's I can say is it better had work good. . . .
This must be Missed Phone Call Day. I missed a call from Son*in*ME this morning at 8:30am and we haven't connected yet. I don't know if he was calling just to tell us he was in the airport headed home or whether the thunderstorms in NJ, MD, and PA messed up his flights. I saw a note online that his wife was up sick during the night. That can't have been easy on her with two children and her husband not home yet. It also leaves us wondering if we really should visit them this weekend. Heh.
Granddaughter can't come over and play tonight after all. There was a problem with her Mom's schedule. Bummer.
He is finally home. But his dear wife got quite sick during the night, with a very strong flu. From Louisiana he called friends up here (whom they really know only a little), and they rose to the occasion. They took the little ones to day care and picked them up later. Then other friends came and stayed with the girls until he could get home.
DIL is still sick, but they hope she is on the mend. I have written to ask Daughter (who is in NJ for the week) if she would like to come here for the weekend, to escape the germs.

ReplyDeleteSo is there anything special folks here do to mark the Equinox?

ReplyDeleteHi Cat!
ReplyDeleteI worked until 8:00pm and will be working the next two days, too.
Then we leave for Maine.
I said I'd pop in as I was able. :-)
Hubby and I will have our 3 year old granddaughter over on Weds evening.
If the sky cooperates, we'll take her outside to see the moon. :-D
Actually, tomorrow will be a real challenge.

So, what are you doing still up at 12:49 AM?

ReplyDeleteYep. I'd never have made a nurse -- I don't do blood well (or needles). As a nurse's aid, did just fine: seems I'm able to do froop and poop, lol!
ReplyDeleteSame here. I don't cope well even with my own blood, much less anyone else's.
ReplyDeleteHere's today's Flight Plan

Be sure to read right the way down to the bottom, where there's a naughty but very funny song.
Everything I can't do when I'm not home!

Sorry you missed your play party with the grandbaby. Hope you managed to connect with the son.
ReplyDeleteI did, puddle, a short while ago.

Oh, yikes! Hope she gets well soon, good on the neighbors. . . . Love mine!
ReplyDeleteMarvellous!
ReplyDeleteOnce DIL is all better they plan to throw a party for the good friends who rallied. :-)
ReplyDeleteI can do blood, but I'd rather puddle did the froop and poop.
ReplyDeleteDid my share of it all when the offspring were little, though.
