Just like to apologize if I've been a bit distracted. Should be better from this out: Rick got out the hospital today. He'd been feeling rotten after he'd changed dialysis types, and part of that was dizziness. And the dizziness caused a fall, and a concussion, and between the two, they decided a hospital was the best place for him to be while they worked it all out. . . . It has, of course, moved back, again, his move in date (drat!).
So, he's out of the hospital now? Does that mean they have him on the correct type at last? And is it a type he can travel/move with? How far away is medical help should he need it after he moves in?
=HUGS= Hoping all is soon well and that he's there with you before long. ♥
You can pretty much travel with *any* kind of dialysis, lol! One involves finding centers, the other involves carting dialysate. Or arranging delivery where you are. He had issues with hemodialysis, and this was looking better. But switching because of the different modalities takes time. The dizziness happened the second week. Catch is, that he has had a balance issue for a long time (I'm just beginning to notice my own issues here, from time to time). But it's seemed to me for a long time that any period of bed rest for him that lasts longer than a day puts him in serious deficit mode for mobility. And takes a very long time to rebuild.
We're about an hour away from a major hospital. 10 minutes for the EMTs to arrive and about 50 minutes transport time. In major medical, we have the helicopters. . . . Country living. Plus side: our EMTs are very good. They have to be. All volunteer, too.
We didn't make the predicted 90ยบ either. But about 56% humidity until the storm, which bumped up the humidity, and bumped down the temp. Pretty much of a wash. Nevertheless, too warm for *June*! Looks like we're right on track for the warmest year evah. Ack.
Howard is absolutely first!
ReplyDeleteAnd that is one stunning pic, listener~

Also...just to add that I didn't notice you being distracted because I've been so distracted lately. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I took that photo through the truck's dirty windshield on our drive home from Maine last Monday. :-D
ReplyDeleteHoly smokes! You should have said something! Best wishes and all love to Rick♥

Well, I'm confused. I could have sworn the date on today's post said Saturday, June 20. Whatever...
ReplyDeleteSis found this. No info. I hate that! But, it's fabulous!

BTW our forecast high for today is 84, rather lower than listener's. Clearly, there's something amiss with the climate. 8)

We didn't hit 90 after all (to my immense relief!).
ReplyDeleteWe got to about 86...and the humidity is only about 34%,
so it's kind of a nice day...!
Cat, can you give us a hint of what it's about?

ReplyDeleteDoesn't seem to matter, my friend. You have an *excellent* eye.
