Katrina Coverage

Liz in Zurich provided this link to WWLTV, a television station in New Orleans that is following the hurricane and relief effort coverage.

Rena in RF at My Left Wing has posted this diary:

Oh, and in case you haven't seen this yet, check out Bush's guitar strummin' photo op from yesterday...his very own version of "fiddling while Rome burns".

If you want to help the hurricane victims, you can donate to the Red Cross online, or call 1-800-HELP-NOW.

UPDATE: As I was editing this post, a new blog entry from Jim Dean, Aid in Katrina's Aftermath, went up at Blog for America.

  2. On the link I am listening to, I just heard the LA Governor announce that the people in the superdome are going to be evacuated to the astrodome in Houston.

  3. Hi, all. Governor said all of New Orleans needs to start evacuating immediately. So sad.

I wonder how many deaths they will find after the water goes down.

  6. Howdy, y'all!

I was reading up on how hurricanes are named and, apparently, an Australian meterologist, or whatever they were called in the 1800s, early 1900s, named tropical storms that were especially devastating after politicians he did not like...

Interesting idea, but it might work against us as often as not...
