Today was a bit of a challenge. We woke to no hot water! Apparently our 17 year old water heater has decided to quit. And it turns out that the local shops who sell them do not also install them. So, tomorrow we need to go over to the Vermont Electric Co-op office and see how long it will take to get one installed. They are member-owned and well regarded. And! I think we may solve two or three issues at once. They also deliver propane and do maintenance on heat pumps! We have heat pumps and our propane supplier has been incredibly unreliable. But how long we will be without hot water is the big question at the moment. We bought a camp shower and may be lugging hot water upstairs for awhile.
Thank you. I love lilacs.

ReplyDeleteThank God this didn't happen in the depths of the winter.
DeleteErm, why would a shop sell something like a water heater but not install it? Hope everything works out well and soon.
Thanks, Cat.
DeleteThe shops are national and in Vermont they don't want to compete with local installers.
Mountain snow increasingly likely last weekend of May for the high peaks of Vt., N.Y., and N.H.
