    1. Thank you for thinking of me, Susan. 💖
I spent the last two days with family, and that really helped. Though, it was also a bit hard, this being the first Mothers Day since Shiloh's death. And d'y'know what? At 9:00pm on Mothers Day last year, Shiloh called me and we talked for 18 minutes. I truly cherish that he did that. He rarely remembered holidays, so it was exceptional. It was a sweet conversation and I am grateful.
But this year our other four kids did a lot to make the weekend special and I love them all so much for it. Root*Center*Son made us dinner last night. Today we met Eldest and his spouse for ice cream, then he came with us to the Shelburne Museum where we also met a dear friend of 40+ years. Daughter called from Maine (and sent a lovely package of gifts), and Youngest called from NH with news of yet another gift.
This makes me laugh: I got knee pads for gardening, a collapsable hose and spray nozzles, and totally unplanned all four kids got me garden center gift cards. LOL! Do they know me or what?!!

    2. PS: I also got a lovely note from one of Shiloh's former colleagues in Alaska.

  3. After Thursday's elections in Britain, nationalist parties hold the majority in both Scotland and Wales for the first time ever. Labour also lost spectacularly across Britain and Starmers' premiership is in question. Stay tuned.
