  5. As we prepare for 2026, remember we have the power to make our future

It was not clear when 2025 began what kind of opposition to the Trump administration there would be and how effective it would be. Many at the beginning of the year feared a powerful administration whose destruction went unchallenged, but it has been challenged and it has stumbled, faltered and backed down in many situations.

The administration now seems to be getting more extreme and reckless as it grows more desperate, chaotic and unpopular. We enter 2026 with radical uncertainty about the fate of this country – but also with the clarity that people have the power to determine what it will be, if they continue to show up and stand on principle. -- nordy

    1. One comment (by lazy fish lady) under that video reads:

“One thing people can do, is take mail inside, to the counter, and politely request mail be hand-stamped at the counter for time sensitive mail.
“Yes, they are intentionally making things harder.”

  7. I have always taken my ballot in and requested a hand-stamped postmark. After 10 years of Trump and DeJoy (because Trump has never gone away), I only trust *some* people. And those two are not among them. Susan

We usually vote in person , since I work at the polls. But otherwise we’d walk in to the town hall and hand our ballots to our wonderful Town Clerk.

  8. ❤️ Savoring a happy memory...

One year ago today, Shiloh and teen daughters (grands) came to visit us, as I was recovering from surprise hernia surgery. I regret that we didn't think to take a photo together, but it was a good visit. It was the last time we ever saw Shiloh, so is precious in our hearts. Ever held in love. ❤️
