    1. The fool physically attacking the judge calls to mind what happened to a public defender of my acquaintance in a neighboring county some years ago. The defendant was accused of assault and battery, but the only witness to it was the person who made the claim. The public defender had put on several witnesses who said such behavior would be completely out of character for the defendant, and seemed to have a decent chance of getting the guy acquitted. UNTIL--- the defendant repeatedly stabbed the public defender with a weapon made from a piece of plastic cutlery from the jail--IN FRONT OF THE JURY. The PD was on medical leave for three months, as memory serves me.

  4. Somehow, listener's post about threats to Jewish sites in California seems to have become invisible to me. Be that as it may, I expect that if past is prologue Sikhs are being similarly threatened.

Investigators believe suspect died of self-inflicted gunshot wound, and at least one of the victims is a school administrator.” No word yet on how the assassin got the weapons: a shotgun and a handgun.

    2. It's imprtant to note that a shotgun is a legitimate hunting weapon. I'm guessing the kid's father bought it for that purpose.

    3. I agree. I also doubt that Iowa is one of the states that requires such weapons to be locked up.

    4. Does a gun case need to be locked?
The container must completely secure the firearm from being accessed. Locked cases that can be easily opened are not permitted.
