I was just wondering why I was still seeing "No comments" and was on the point of remedying that myself. I'm in Kansas City for the World Fantasy Convention. Arrived Wednesday night and board the train for home early Monday morning. Have been and will be checking in from time to time.
Mt Mansfield is 4393 feet, *lowest* point in the slc valley is 4210 feet. Snow melt from the winter of 47/48 kept a three foot deep river running down 13th south for several weeks. They built dirt dikes and wooden overpasses throughout the city.
Weather prayers of my childhood. 1. Doesn't snow till after Halloween, otherwise you have to wear your winter coat *over* your costume, and 2. the snow is off the ground before Easter, otherwise you have to hunt for eggs inside the living-room!
Perhaps I am mistaken, but Mr. Nauta seems not bright enough for his own good, and under the spell of TFG. If I am correct, I hope his punishment will be relatively mild. ----Alan
We spent the whole day putting the tarp on the boat. And we need to go back tomorrow to adjust the part at the stern. But we're nearly done. Then Loch Nest will be all tucked in for Winter.

DeleteThank you, Bill--makes me feel way less alone. I assume yer having great fun, at least hope and pray so. Mighty hugs your way!

How's the weather where you are, Puddle? We've had a couple unseasonably warm days. A bit unsettling, really.
DeleteThat's always the hope, puddle. Up here we nearly always have snow or icy cold for Hallowe'en. But that's changing, eh?

DeleteUnseasonably warm in late October or November is called Indian Summer--I'll live with that!

LOL Some things never change.
DeleteThe past several days it has been cool here--in the 60's F inside the house when we get up in the morning.
ReplyDelete----Alan
It's been 60's inside here too.
DeleteIn fact, it was 70ºF here last evening!
That's about to change. We're expecting 29ºF in the coming week.
(Susan) Did y'all see that Pence has dropped out of The Great Presidential Race? Doesn't break my heart.
ReplyDeleteI saw it, but was not surprised at all.

Already posted these twice today, but the Internet gods have not been cooperative.
