Said lawyer Joseph Murray: “My client would rather surrender to pretrial detainment than subject these suretors to what will inevitably come.”

Ukraine accuses Russia of blowing up Nova Kakhovka dam near Kherson [Click] Well, it isn’t the first time it has happened. Invading fascist forces blew it up during WWII, and now invading fascist forces are doing it again—but Russians this time rather than Germans. —Alan
The inlet to the North Crimean Canal is slightly upriver from the dam; depending on how badly the dam is damaged, it could cut off the supply of (mostly irrigation) water to northern Crimea. ---Alan
