  1. I slept very well last night; woke up a bit early, but that's all right. That presumably indicates a good response to the coronavirus booster. Made more coffee than usual just now.

  4. So one of the characters is Hannah Styles. Coincidence?

  5. There are a few names of old acquaintances doing double duty. Hannah, of course, is not mY given name, but one I chose in preference to "Granny."
But, it may be a family quirk. We have a granddaughter who has already changed their name twice. LOL

  6. Well, here's a little victory...
My PCP doc wants me to get the Shingrix vaccine, since it can be administered while still taking the anti-viral med. My concern was that ~ for those of us taking an anti-viral to ward off shingles ~ one goes off the anti-viral two months after the second dose of the Shingrix vaccine. I did a little research. Shingrix is said to be effective in 90% of person, lasts about 4 years, and more for some. I actually emailed back and forth with the CDC and they have no data for person such as myself who have had shingles multiple times (in my case 8 times). They said it's highly unusual.

So, I asked my doc if she'd allow me to just continue on the anti-viral (she writes the prescriptions), since it provides assurance that I won't get shingles. She said YES (whoo hoo!) and suggested I might want to ALSO get the Shingrix vaccine to add a little protection, just incase (as happened before) I get a bad flu that keeps me from keeping down my med for three days. (If I go off the anti-viral for three days, I get shingles.).

I then contacted my insurance company and HALLELUJAH they WILL continue to pay for my anti-viral ongoingly, even if I have the vaccine! It's a win-win-win! I'm quite relieved!
