As far as I know, we're going okay in Vermont...some scattered power outages and a bunch of fender benders. But in NH a tree collapsed onto a child (she's okay) and a barn collapsed onto some cows (2 died). So it's been a hard storm with regard to the weight of the snow. When temps are above 30 and it's snowing, heavy wet snow often results.
Ukraine is assembling four armies trained to NATO standards for the Spring offensive--three for the front line and one in reserve. Russians are running out of ammunition, Wagner Group seems to be on its last legs. The Russian man on the street interview at the end amazes me. ----Alan
I'm back from a "Wine dinner" at Maya del Sol. Five (altually six) corses with accompanying wine for each. I initially thought the $120 price was beyond my budget, but then thought that this was all-inclusive -- no added tax or tip -- and decided I could stretch for once. Good food (small plates, of course), some spicy, some not. Wine well chosen but not always to my personal taste. And definitely more alcohol than I am use dto. But I manages to make it home (walking).
The sky is clear, and the river has not risen; looks to be another nice day here. No rain in the forecast until Sunday, and not much then.

That works!
DeleteIt's still snowing here. In the photo out front, our snow is now almost to the top of the stumps.

10 AM here; gray clouds are rising over the mountains, and the wind has picked up.
