Well, today's Republicans are about preserving and presenting social status, rather than service. They consider "public service" to be a euphemism (or, in NH, an electric power company). That the people govern simply does not register. Besides, precedent decrees that the people who govern are all male. Having female governors and generals and a vice president is very upsetting.

ReplyDeleteGuinea worm disease could be second ever human illness to be eradicated [Click] I have never seen a case, but it is infamous among parasitologists. Filtration of drinking water is the key to eradication.
