    1. That would be astounding; but the reported progress does augur well. Then all that would be needed would be to convince people and governments to take the vaccine.

    1. I do not trust polls. They are part of "preparing the ground," softening up the enemy, depressing the vote. If the favored candidate is seen to be winning, voters are more likely to stay home.
Most voter suppression occurs long before election day.
I have sent Val Demings a few dollars and hope they will be used on voter registration and contact.
Both AOC and Katie Porter are collecting funds for other candidates and avoiding the party machine. The party duopoly is about done. Only the press refuses to see that their schtick is no longer welcome.

    2. I trust polls by independent third parties, with the caveats that mistakes happen and things can always change. The polls quoted in candidates' fundraising emails are obviously chosen for effect.

  6. I will not be here very much tomorrow--colonoscopy. Not my favorite way to spend a day (or two, including preparation).

    1. Ugh. I'm glad the docs decided I'm old enough I don't need to do that any more.

    2. I'm not sure, but I think they have me on a three-year schedule now. That is part of my punishment for not having a sigmoidoscopy done in a timely manner.
