    1. Y'know, I think there's hope for me, because when I read about this, yesterday, I felt sad for the patient. At the same time, I definitely understand the medical community's requirement that a recipient be someone who is going to take care with their lifestyle and health. It's a HUGE thing to be given the heart of another human, who has now died, and to take it and not take care of yourself afterward is incredibly disrespectful of the donor and the fact that you having that heart means someone else (more willing to care for it) does not.
