We just came in from picking some persimmons. I don't know how many persimmons we have/had this year, but it's certainly more than five hundred. They are very large, flat ones that are usually eaten firm; the biggest ones weigh a little over a pound. There were enough for the squirrels and birds, too.
Hallo! We drove to Maine today in quite the deluge of rain, but made it there safely. Had a very sweet time with four of our grands, two kids and one DIL. Hallowe'en costumes, cookie decorating, pumpkin carving, and Grandad Wil even brought a kit to make a little light-up Haunter House with Grandson. Definitely worth the drive!
We are at a hotel in Concord, NH tonight. On Sunday we visit 3 more grands, another kid and DIL. FUN! Root*Center*Son drove to Maine too and is in NH tonight for the fun tomorrow. Definitely a banner trip.

ReplyDeleteAmazingly different from the wild persimmons my grandmother picked. Those were a litle bigger than the last joint of my thumb
