51: The Figure-8 Sailing Race is today
Wil and Root*Center*Son will be sailing through the Inner Bay and Outer Bay, through The Cut, then out onto the Broad Lake to sail a figure-8 around two large islands in Lake Champlain, then all the way back again! I hope to be at this location to get some photos of the race from shore.
UPDATE: High winds have postponed the race by one week.

ReplyDeleteAha! We have seen our squirrel shower in action! Two squirrels peeked up over the edge of the bluff and very, very, very cautiously approached the wrought iron fence (about a yard in from the edge), seeming to keep an eye on the sprinkler. As one of them put its head through the fence, the sprinkler was triggered, and the squirrels instantly turned and galloped (flew?) back down the slope below the edge.
ReplyDeleteI think I will make a slight adjustment in the sprinkler.
