What an unholy mess! And, while the government and the Commons are absorbed in all this nonsense, presumably they aren't doing anything else like actually governing.
Routine governance is handled by the Civil Service to an even greater extent than is true here. Cabinet ministers really have very little hand-on authority over the departments they oversee. And Brexit will affect things to such an extent that no one can predict what new legislation may be needed until that is settled.
Come to think of it, this past weekend we saw the first pelicans of Spring! White pelicans pass through here on their migrations between Baja California and the Canadian Prairie Provinces.
