Back from our trip to the SF Bay Area and relaxing. Extraordinarily light traffic (football game, maybe?) and good weather. Looks like the rain predicted Monday through Thursday could well happen. The hillsides are turning a very nice green. First meeting of Beginning Drawing class tomorrow morning. I discovered that the Watercolor course I wanted to take this coming Fall is offered at the junior college in Madera, about a 20 minute drive north of here, got in contact with the instructor, and got a materials list and detailed syllabus for last semester's class--those should give me a good idea of what to expect. Laying in a few more supplies and thinking about some initial practice between now and then.
Sounds good. I've always been one for getting as early a start as possible on classes. Takes some of the pressure off during the semester, knowing what to expect, having ideas already brewing for projects and such. I shouldn't let on to classmates about it though if I were you. Tends to make one unpopular, actually being prepared, interested and industrious. :P
I shall probably be a class oddity anyway, given my age; I'm probably old enough to be the teacher's father. In my just past class, Two Dimensional Design (think "Art 1A") my relationships with my classmates were good. It was nice working with all those whippersnappers.

DeleteI see it's working again.
ReplyDeleteMost accumulation will fall before noon Sunday, widespread 7-12 with locally higher totals possible.
ReplyDelete^The fear.
The reality? Two, mebbe three, inches.
Yeah, I got your 7-12 right here, puddle. Shoveling. Ugh. Prolly feel it tomorrow.
DeleteWas looking for the word "glitches" a couple of minutes ago. All I could get was "gli"--which seemed fitting, lol

DeleteTuesday is the centennial of the Great Boston Molasses Disaster [Click] I didn’t realize that it paved the way for class action suits against big companies.
ReplyDelete'Ridiculous': Report Ivanka Trump could lead World Bank meets scorn [Click] Well, didn’t Caligula make his horse a Consul? Hmmmmm..... evidently not. [Click] So much for that analogy.
Oh great. Now DT is growing worse than Caligula.
