We had a second rain shower early this afternoon, and it looks like we could very well have another tonight. Wonderful clean air! I'm ahead of the curve on my Art homework, and can get some other things taken care of at home. Plenty of time to think about the next project--I'm going to review several Georgia O'Keefe paintings for inspiration.
I once had a conversation with my friend, author and psychiatrist Jerry May, in which he told me about his work, years before, with prisoners who had murdered people. At the time I said it seemed to me a person who could take a life lacked the capacity for empathy and intimacy. Jerry assured me that most of them found the act of murder very intimate indeed. I could never wrap my mind around that until I read this article.
