The world's power is shifting...

I took this photo from half way up the Statehouse lawn.
The crowd was just as large behind me and off to the sides as well.

                              The HAT!

It wasn't until I posted this photo of Bernie at our rally that I realised
the man beside him in the gray cap was Rep. Peter Welch!!  Ha!

Bernie did not speak at the rally, as it was a time to hear the young people,
and politicians were asked not to speak today.  But!  At the end of the rally
the crowd chanted "Bernie! Bernie! Bernie!"
so he walked up to the microphone and simply waved.
And it is surely to his credit.

  1. March For Our Lives in Fresno. [Click] It occurs to me that the not merely national but even planetary spread of the symbols (banners, clothing, etc.) of the action bespeaks a degree of spontaneous coordination that is truly new and should scare the bejezzuz out of folks happily stuck in a political rut.

In the local weather news, we have this foam the day before the MFOL rally: Sunny skies ahead as mega-storm heads east, leaving impressive rain totals [Click]

Hotel construction has been very obvious in Fresno for some years now; I wondered why. Here [Click] is the rather surprising (to me) explanation.

    1. "we have this foam the day before the MFOL rally" should read:
"we have this FROM the day before the MFOL rally"
Looks to me like my errant typography and proofreading were helped along by "autocorrect."

March For Our Lives: Six key takeaways from the US gun control rallies [Click] Hoo, Boy--get a load of the lead banner photo in item No. 6! The 7th key takeaway is that Auntie Beeb doesn't seem to understand, or at least articulate, the non-superficial--but after all, she is a foreigner.

The small Scottish isle leading the world in electricity. [Click] A complete and successful off-grid system; I thought the way they managed excess electrical production was downright ingenious.

Trump Struggles to Find Lawyers to Represent Him [Click] Maybe he could find an undocumented immigrant; they will do jobs no "American" will do. I recall reading about a Mexican attorney who was harvesting fruit and vegetables in Fresno County because she could make more money that way than as an attorney in Mexico.

    1. I was hoping I would elicit some responses...well, maybe tomorrow. I have hopes everyone here had better things to do than watching "60 Minutes."
