Went to Tai Chi this morning, then ran errands, then sanded the speckled areas in the main bathroom, then took and emailed carpet photos to the company that might effect a few repairs, THEN went to work at the polls. After working at the check-in table, I counted the write-in votes. Then I got to sign the seal of the voting bag! Cool. Then I helped strike camp. Then I stayed with an elderly woman who was waiting for her husband, so the Town Clerk (who had been there since before 6:00am) wouldn't have to. He had taken the school budget ballots over to the regional office, and was due back "soon." Only, my phone was down to 20% and the woman couldn't remember her husband's cell phone number. Pity, too, as she lives about a minute from my house (was my son's piano teacher), and I would have been happy to drive her home. But then my phone battery fizzled out and she didn't want to leave. She was willing, she said, to wait alone, but I would have none of that...! The only other person in the school at that hour was the maintenance guy.
We waited a little over an hour, and he returned. At the same time the Town Clerk also came back to check on us because she couldn't reach me on my cell phone. Then we all drove the 4 minutes home. LOL!!
Just finished the second round of The Hollow Crown. Whew. And stove due to be replaced tomorrow, lord willing and the crick don't rise. I got a bunch of housekeeping to do. Ick.
