How can Romney have been governor of Massachusetts and yet potentially be senator from Utah? Oh, yeah, I remember. He claimed residence in his kid's basement. Wonder where he'll claim residence in Utah?
I recall a certain person who relocated to New York from Arkansas to run for senator; it was said at the time that NY did not have any minimum residence time to run for office. Some states do. Utah? Dunno. Wikipedia doesn't indicate any particular Romney ties to Utah other than attendance at BYU and the Salt Lake City Olympics.
Well, for one thing it is all just nonsense; there is no button. If there were, someone would probably put a coffee cup on it every once in a while. "Nonsense" is a very diplomatic term for the word that actually occurred to me.
I am reminded of TR's maxim: speak softly and carry a big stick." Trump's maxim seems to be shout and carry a little stick. (Again, the last couple of words are diplomatic substitutions.)
If this is the dossier I think it is, I've read a detailed analysis of it. Most of the items are things that, at least in a general way, were already known at the time. And the biggest deal -- the supposed Prague meetings -- is demonstrably untrue
Did everybody freeze solid or what?
ReplyDeleteNot quite. But there was a bit of ice in the bath tub this morning, where a slow drip from the faucet was hitting the tub bottom. Gone now.
DeletePresently, it's +9.5F at my house! 😮
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing as it got to -19.3F this morning!
We've got +5F and we don't even get those nice mountains to look at while we freeze.
DeleteAlan, can we count the days wth you, to retirement? How many?
ReplyDeleteCounting days is premature, listener; thanks for the thought, though. I am planning on March 31st.

Orrin Hatch is going to retire. Sounds like Mitt Romney will run for his seat. Interesting times we're living in, folks.

My X tells me that Faux Gnus is becoming liberalized since the kids took over. He doesn't watch it any more.
ReplyDeleteUnholy Crap!

Why do I have a sudden urge to dive under my desk?
