With long campaigns, California returns to presidential spotlight [Click] …”Clinton will need a good chunk of the 546 delegates awarded in California to win a majority of pledged delegates – a significant milestone to claim both grass-roots support and backing among elected officials and other ‘superdelegates.’”
I like that. The same editorial is in the Sacramento Bee.
We will do what we can to make it interesting, listener. I hope Bernie shows up here in Fresno--it ought to cause a sensation. This is not the California of $10,000 per plate fundraising dinners; I am sure I was not the only one who was shocked at how we were snubbed by Obama this past year. The young (30ish?) man who kindly helped me to load my car at Home Depot this afternoon noticed my Bernie bumper sticker and struck up a discussion over it--another supporter.
Actually, Bernie's advance planners could peruse Fresno region newspapers around the time Obama set foot at the Fresno airport just to helicopter off to a photo op in a neighboring county to discover all the local notables and groups who were hoping to have some interaction with him, however minimal. Party registration be damned, if Bernie were to approach them, the response ought to be very decent at least.
Spring is here, and it's first!
