  1. It's the day after, and puddle is still First.

    And Bernie was on Colbert.

And Dean is still First, even though I'm not happy with him this week. But he was the First to bring us together and helped us see that we have a voice and we can be heard…!

  3. Well, maybe I should watch Bernie on Colbert. Can you give us a link, listener?

I was having the Devil's own time holding my fountain pen in the correct position; my hand kept turning so it was not right. Then I found an instruction that clarified how it should be held--between the thumb and index finger alone, with the third finger curled under the hand with the fourth and fifth, rather than underneath the pen. Presto! Everything falls naturally into place and stays that way. There is no need to grip the pen tightly, since no force is exerted on the point. Even easier on my old hand. I have the improvements to my numerals figured out, now just have to make them automatic.

Stephen Colbert opened "The Late Show" by explaining Sen. Bernie Sanders' (I-VT) incredible rise as a Democratic presidential candidate.

"Everybody feeling the Bern?" Colbert asked. "He wants to give you universal healthcare so you can have that burn checked out."

Colbert noted that Sanders' success is Hillary Clinton's "most shocking political upset since the last time it happened to her," alluding to her loss to Barack Obama in the 2008 primary.

    1. Alan, I watched it and enjoyed it. Colbert was excellent. Bernie laughed a lot bit otherwise kind of stayed on his stump speech. I was surprised by that because he is usually good candid. Later I read that he'd had numerous interviews that day, a speech and a big fundraiser, so by then he was probably tired! The audience actually cheered loader and longer for Bernie than they had for Stephen! RARE!

  5. A long essay, on lessons unlearned and the path of human decency and development going forward. [Click] Not a comfortable read, but certainly a very real think piece.
