Forgot to say: PT evaluation went well. Starting twice weekly sessions the week after next. They will run six weeks and then we'll see. The therapist is a woman I worked with for quite some time, many years ago, when she was with the Visiting Nurses. So, it was great to hear a familiar voice. I had become a bit nervous in the interim between getting the order for the evaluation and the actual time of going in. Carolyn put me right at ease. She's sure they will be able to increase my strength, and she thinks it may also be possible to improve other things like balance, standing unsupported and perhaps the dizzy spells as well. I think this is a positive development.
Today I got the first coat of paint on the cabinets at Youngest's house! :-) I also got a two coats of trim paint onto the radiators and bannister and three coats of trim paint around the opening over the sink.
Tomorrow I go back for the second coat on the cabinets, after which Mah*Sweetie and I are going out to dinner and to a romantic comedy play set in Ireland called Outside Mullingar.
On Saturday it's back to working on the cabinet doors!
Enroute to Youngest's house this morning, I had a "deer in the headlights" moment, when a first-year deer stepped out about 25' in front of my car. We managed to miss each other and I swear he looked apologetic.
Howard's out in front!
ReplyDeleteFunny, Listener, at first I thought it said Blog Porch and I was like, "Huh?"
