Got down to -9.1F here last night, up to 2F today, currently -8.8F, and we're headed down to -15F tonight. The sun was bright on the sparkly snow all day, and it's was so incredibly beautiful outside!
Today I had my first Tai Chi session with this new class and it's going to work out nicely. It uses a form that has been altered slightly from the original, to make it a little easier for people who have arthritis. The space we meet in is the nave of a modern little church, with the chairs set to one side. Picture light wood and white with large windows with rounded tops, a simple altar, and views of the mountains beyond. Ahhhhhhhh.
I figure that old benchmark of five years cancer-free was from the days long before the fancy scans they have today; it's maybe the equivalent of four or even three years now. No matter; great stuff either or any way.
And now to bed, too late. (Had a hurry-up job for a public defender near San Diego.)
Re T'ai Chi, I got Paul Lam's DVD "Tai Chi for Arthritis" today, which may well be the inspiration for your class, listener. It's Sun style. I have another one coming from the UK, by a descendant of Master Sun himself. I want to review them both first. But I am already doing some related "warm-up" exercises, and they have helped in only two days. Not much mind exercise, but that comes later.
Howard's just as perky as a tufted titmouse!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news at baby
That really is great news. Wonderful.
DeleteThanks, puddle! ♥ We are all super happy for ♡ Ally ♡ (and her parents!), and ourselves! :-D

ReplyDeleteI hope our current not-so-cold weather (15F) heads east. I board the train for Boston tomorrow night.
DeleteAnd that's 5 years of *cancer-free* survival. With most cancer you figure 5 years cancer-free = cure.
DeleteTrue that. Bill. Ally's was a rare and virulent Neuroblastoma.
