Today may be my last official day at the Library, but the 10th is my last actual
    day there.

  2. The Grandmother of two of our daughters-in-law (they are sisters) died overnight. She was 93. She was also, therefore, the Great Grandmother of three of our four Grands. I'm trying to think of some kindness we can do for them all. Ideas?

  3. Wrong season, but planting something as you did for Renee might work.

    1. Oh, thanks, Susan! Good idea!! You are reminding me that after Mah*Sweetie's brother died of pancreatic cancer, we sent a box of Spring bulbs to his grandchildren. They and their Mom lived in the same house (different part of the house) as their grandparents. So it ended up being for them, their parents and our beloved, widowed sister-in-law. This could work. That and a pack of cards for each, to remember all the card games they made with her.

    2. Just don't get bulbs the gophers like! (In our back yard the gladioli were always eaten by gophers, but other lasted much longer. How do iris do in your area?

  4. So sorry I didn't get back here to tell you that the special person whose birthday was yesterday turned 8 whole years old…and was ALLY!!!

We heard that her Auntie made her a pink nightgown for Christmas, so for her birthday made a matching nightgown for her 18" doll. So I went poking about in the little local toy shop and came out with pink winter boots, pink polka dotted shoes and white bunny slippers with pink ears ~ all for Ally's 18" doll! ♥ Got that mailed the other day and she will have opened them by now. :-)
