  1. Bill, if you didn't see my comments on the last thread: You might want to check out Sea Monkey, another Mozilla project.

    Here's the link: http://www.seamonkey-project.org/

Hope things are going well for Listener at the library today♥

    1. Cat -- yes, I saw your comments. Will check our Sea Monkey when I have time -- bookmarked the site.

Re Cat's Law: I love Familia Swiss muesli, but Penny is now telling me that none of the stores she goes to carry it any more. There are other things that call themselves muesli or are muesli-like, but they aren't the same thing.

    2. Actually, I downloaded and installed SeaMonkey. Looks really good. EXCEPT that it didn't automatically import my IE Favorites as it claimed to do. Unless there is some unobvious trick, it would take hours to get it set up.

    3. Unobvious? Maybe. I exported my IE Favorites to a file, then imported the file into SeaMonkey. Worked!

I'll probably be giving SeaMonkey a good trial run soon.

    4. Thank-you, Cat!

Having been closed the last three days, we got about three days' worth of patrons and books today! Y.I.K.E.S.!! Trial by fire for our Go Live! with our Dress Rehearsal! WILD!! It was so intense that whenever we had to pause to do something normal (like make a phone call) it felt strange! Ha! It was like working in an alternate universe!! But we did it! :-D We all ended the day standing!

    5. NOTE!
"with our Dress Rehearsal" should read: "*without* Dress Rehearsal"!!!

    1. Thanks, puddle. But why am I not surprised that Penny's reaction as, "That's ridiculous." I did, however, remind her that there is a different brand of real muesli available, so it was helpful after all.

    2. The very best Muesli I ever had was in Edinburgh, Scotland at a little B&B. I wanted more than anything to take it home. I wonder if it's this same brand. Any idears on that?

    3. Always liked Muesli but I thought it was only available in Europe. Like granola too.

    4. Familia is imported from Switzerland, as the name implies. The two major Chicago grocery chains used to carry it, but one is no longer in existence and the other has discontinued it. Trader Joe's has something they call muesli, but they add flakes to introduce crispness, which rather contradicts the idea. Otherwise the Trader Joe's product is pretty good. I don't have a clear memory of the muesli-in-a-bag that Penny mentioned, but she recalls me saying it was almost the same thing. I'll report once she buys that.

I like granola, too. As well as several more traditional US cereals, including bite-sized Shredded Wheat and Bran Flakes -- adding raisins in both cases. I actually like Wheat Chex even better, but that's high in salt.

    5. I can't say as I have ever had Muesli, but the Internet is helpful:

Wikipedia muesli article [Click] Includes the original recipe!
