Howard is still first. listener, hope your retreat is full of peace.
I've been cataloging and shelving my quilting books (hundreds of them). Apparently I *really* like some of them, having purchased several copies. I'm finding them as I catalog them. Some I have sold and some will be donated to my favorite thrift shop for them to sell. I'm still not finished working on them. I haven't touched the stash in my sewing room yet, but I will get there. Once I'm done I might occasionally be able to find the book I want. Fruitless searches get old fast.
It was a good Retreat Day…definitely. I found the articulation to recognise that I don't have fear of having my heart broken, I have fear of having my heart hardened. (So far so good.)
Alan, e-mail received and gratefully acknowledged.
Both computers more or less on the blink today. YIKES!
Thanks to the BARD Mobile ap for my iPhone, I have made an appreciable dent in my monthly data transfer allowance. Sis and I both thought I had unlimited data - evidently not. must sort that out. Amazing situation to be in. High tech certainly has its moments.
BARD (the Braille and Audio Download) site of the NLS recently launched this iPhone ap, which apparently is very popular. It's certainly popular with me. *grin* Thanks to BARD Mobile, I've started reading The Economist and returned to reading The Nation. The ap is particularly good for weeklies which mount up alarmingly in any physical format. With the mobile download, I can just read 'em and delete 'em. Perfect!
The problem on the Win7 machine seems to b mainly with connectivity, and it seems to have cleared up to some extent, thank goodness. It was major frustration time earlier in the evening.
