  1. Huzzah for Howard!

I got myself somewhat dehydrated working outside both Sunday (101 degrees) and Monday (only 97 degrees), but salt pills and lots of ice water have largely taken care of it--and I got a lot done. Among other things I made some shelves/stands for Miyoko's epiphitium cacti and trimmed back trees around the house at the prompting of our new home insurance carrier. And now I think I will go to bed.

    1. Wow, Alan. I don't know how you WENT outside much less WORKED outside. So glad you are okay. Hopefully the season will cool down for you soon. We are finally back to 70s for highs this week, with some 60s waiting in the wings. My yard work day is tomorrow.

  2. Much cooler today, which I was/am in serious need of.

Fresh batch of faux choc chip cookies just out of the oven. Wish I'd discovered almond meal forty years ago, lol!

    1. Yum! Almond meal has became a staple food of mine. I love it in coconut date balls with some unsweetened carob chips mixed in.
