    Mary =. Mare'-ee (Mare as in horse)

    Merry = Meh'-ree

    Marry = rhymes with Larry and carry (same A as in bass)

  3. Lovely photo. Makes me want to follow the path to see where it goes.

  4. You guys are the best: helpful and most of all, patient. Clearing out my hard disk I came across a blog exchange saved in January of this year. I asked how many Bloody Mairys it would take to get a certain fictional young man drunk, and everybody chimed in with useful and interesting info.

    As if I need a reminder of how lucky I am to have such wonderful friends.

    Just wanted to say, thank you all. I love you.

  5. My pronunciation of Mary and marry are just about identical. Merry is a different kettle of fish though. Merry rhymes with berry, Jerry and, ahem, Kerry. It drives me batty when people pronounce my name like it's spelled Carrie!

  6. It's been *cold* here yesterday and today: had the oven on for heat boost both days. Computer is still giving me major problems.

    And Bill Gates Black Second Tuesday updates don't help. This month done in three days though as opposed to last month's five.

  7. Last night's low was 41 and tonight's is forecast to be 45. Days have been lovely but somewhat cooler than they have been throughout the Summer, in the high 70s and low 80s. Beautiful but definitely with the promise of Autumn.
