Descendants of our Town's first Settlers still live in town! I happened to snap this photo from across the town green as we celebrated Jericho's 250th Anniversary.
I do 't mean to be AWOL. It's just that Youngest is coming for dinner and an overnight Wednesday, so I've been working hard on the baby quilt. I believe I have about 6 more hours of quilting to do. Only!
Home from work and about to eat dinner, then quilt, quilt, quilt!
Ours was a pouring, straight-down rain day, and a new record was set for precipitation for this date.
Precipitation Today = 1.83", Normal = 0.12", Former Record for this date: 1.31 (1939) Month to date precipitation = 3.82", Normal = 1.34" Year to date precipitation = 19.09", Normal = 13.65"
I think I figured out where all the rain has been going that usually falls in the drought-stricken areas! If I could figure out how to send it back, I certainly would.
I believe you're talking about temporal rather than geographical displacement. This was a drought area last year (maybe year before -- I don't remember), but the drought was broken months ago.
The weather has been very nice here the past couple of days--actually cool in the mornings and evenings.
puddle--what bothers me about Facebook is knowing that they make their money by hoovering up contact metadata and selling it to commercial enterprises that then use it to target facebook users. The metadata reveals much more about people than they often realize.
Cat--have you considered a string to close the attic door when the explorer returns?

I thought I would get off work at a reasonable time today, but a particularly nasty gremlin got into the instrument I was using.... nearly finished with the testing, will finish it up and try to extirpate the gremlin before I head for the barn. Twilight now...
Month to Date Precipitation/MTD Average: 3.55"/3.41" Year to Date Precipitation/YTD Average: 17.41"/17.52"
Alan, I'd be cool if peeps just didn't *like* so much stuff that shows up in my news feed. . . . I wouldn't think advertisers would love peeps whose notice of them was annoyed, but who knows? They're not nearly so good at it as they think. At least my email, unlike google's, doesn't scan my mail and target me. . . .
12 days 'til dean 10!
