  3. Hey, Cat!

    listener, *gorgeous* poppies!!

Quite, muted cool day here. But no rain yet.

So fun to open an eye and see a giant puppy just standing quietly wagging his tail like krezzy, lol!

    1. Hi Puddle!

You know, it took me ages to figure out the signification of your FB profile image. But now, every time I see it I wonder at my obtuseness. Saw where France has legalized same sex marriage and adoption. The tide certainly seems to be sweeping the world.

It's very nice, but I can't help wondering what the marriage equality movement has that the ERA didn't?

    2. One big difference is that the ERA was a constitutional amendment. That requires fairly broad agreement across much of the country. Marriage equality can happen state-by-state without regard to what any other state does. (Don't forget that, even if you include civil unions, the number of states with marriage equality is still less than the number that ratified the ERA.)

  4. Arrgh. Battling boredom and boredom is winning. It's not like I don't have a great many things to do. It's just that I really don't want to do any of them, but can't handle the guilt trip if I do nothing.

    1. Susan, so don't do nothing. Actively take a nap or sit down with a cup of tea and a magazine or take a walk or listen to music for a specific amount of time, half an hour, say. That way you'll be engaged, doing something, but not stressed out.

  5. I've started again listening to Jesus of Nazareth: From the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration. Started it quite some time ago but got distracted. Hope to get all the way through it this time. It is very interesting. I also have the second volume on CD. Come to find out, there is a third volume. Must get that.

  6. Tired from working the weekend, but a good night's sleep (due to commence in 30 minutes) will take care of that. Very windy today. I decided to get another trilogy of Darkover books--the Clingfire Trilogy, a collaboration of Marion Zimmer Bradley and Deborah K. Ross. Alibris costs about a third as much as Kindle (and I get to support a small business); thanks, Susan.
