I feel like the luckiest mom in the world. Ally picked me to be her mom! We have had a very eventful six years. There are parts I have successfully blocked from my memory. There are parts I wish I could block from my memory, and there are parts I want to remember always. I am grateful for all of those experiences, because it made Ally who she is, and has shaped how I am as a mom. Ally brings me joy everyday. She makes being a mom the best. She always has a hug and kiss for me. She always has a great story about school to tell us over the dinner table. She fills my heart with love and joy. Recently I realized that when people I haven't seen in a while ask about Ally, I automatically talk about school, dance class, or a funny story about the weekend. It is now an afterthought to talk about her medical stuff. I can't quite pinpoint the moment when the pendulum swung the other way, but it sure is nice. Thanks Ally, for making me a mom!
Pretty peaceful here today. Talked with the eldest, and usually da baby calls near midnight.
Eldest and little bro are due here for a week's visit with the youngest's wife and my youngest granddaughter! It was a coop venture to put together, and a great mother's day gift!
Back from visit with Naomi; traffic heavier than usual, but not as heavy as last year--we didn't qualify for a second new automobile (thank Heaven). The tempeature prediction for here today was 99 degrees, and it must have been something like that. Cooling trend starting tomorrow, they say. Buncha odds and ends to take care of this evening, but all's well.
Howard has a pretty neat mother!
ReplyDeleteGoing back to Columbus today. Here is the newest post on my personal blog.
