  1. Howard IS first! And so's spring: which seems to have arrived by stealth. First coltsfoot. first Phoebes; succulents and chickweed greening nicely. Looks like the Little Blue Stem didn't make it, but it's a solidly warm-weather grass, so it may be too much to ask this early.

    1. puddle, sorry but I just couldn't take your niece any more. She annoys me to the point of screaming. So I "answered" her comment to you on Facebook.

    2. Susan, I'm sorry you felt bad about that -- I've never been anything but proud of my friends, and glad to have them standing with me. xox

    3. Goodness, puddle. I didn't feel bad, I just got royally pi$$ed off. Some people just remind me of a little yappy dog that just will NOT stop parking. I don't expect to change her mind, or care to. I just wish she'd shut the hell up and stick with friending people who agree with her.

    1. Oh, I expect she'll fling some vitriol my way. I think fighting is her hobby. I'm not answering if she does. I said my piece.

  3. I took a walk in the woods nearby today and it was such a pleasant walk, despite the fact that we have even more trees felled and a number leaning on others dangerously. It wasn't windy at all, so I wasn't too worried. It does have a kind of "haunted wood" effect as you walk through. Some tree mushrooms and lichens and what not, but lots of trees felled by nature. Rather spooky. I was nearly done when I realised I no longer had my prescription sunglasses and their case. So I had to retrace my steps as the sun sunk lower. Fortunately the case is red! I found it just at the spot (near the start) where I had switched from sunglasses to regular glasses. I must have missed when I meant to slip them into my pocket! As I walked out of the woods, I spotted a geocache hidden in a hollow tree trunk! It had something inside too. I got a photo of all of that and put it all back for someone else to find. When I got back to my yard I found crocuses in bloom! Not, mind you, in any of my gardens...just growing wild in the grass! Ha!
