listener--I gather that statins are something to stay away from; they can have very deleterious side effects.
Renee--gloating does have its little pleasures. My ability to understand the law regarding certain aspects of my work was denigrated by multiple prosecutors and judges in a certain county that will remain unnamed. But it now seems the state Supreme Court sees the relevant US Supreme Court rulings the same way I do, and the legal eagles in said county will just have to go along with my erroneous understanding... Where I come from the ability to read and comprehend plain standard English is not considered a special skill, but then I have never been to law school. [Gloat, gloat, gloat].
Our tulip tree (saucer magnolia, purple) is blooming nicely; it should be in full bloom some time this week. Quite beautiful, really.
Anybody know of a singer who went simply by Francine? I came across her on an episode of a show called "Hollywood Palace" that aired in October of 1969. (on DVD, this was. I don't remember seeing the show when it originally aired.) She was a blonde.. Neither her name nor her voice were the slightest bit familiar to me. She didn't say anything, just sang. So I couldn't tell if she was American, Canadian, British...
Huzzah for Dean!

Ah, Alan, vindication is sweet, eh? And maybe just a little revenge thrown in for good measure.
DeleteThe abdication of Gregory XII in 1415 wasn't comparable to that of Benedict XVI:

That of Celesine V in 1294 is a better parallel:

Celestine sounds like a pretty good fellow...
