Good-bye August!

  1. Good doctors are Number One(s).

    Sounds like your friend got a good 'un, listener.

    Left leg still hurts some, but getting better. The sore area is moving around, trying to get away. That's a good sign.

    Re Prez race, I am reminded of the Bad Boy of Baltimore's quip: "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

    1. I'm glad you're still mending, Alan.
      I thought of you yesterday when the Library was so busy I became a human scanning machine for too many hours and got shooting pains down my right leg. Just standing is much harder than walking!

  3. Mizzen has gained a quarter pound on Spinnaker!
    Spinnaker = 5.28lbs
    Mizzen = 4.52lbs

    Since Spinnaker went into heat briefly this week the kitties are both scheduled for Spay Day on Tuesday.

    Due to our work schedules. I get to drop them off (and feel like a heel!) and Sweetie gets to pick them up (and be the hero). At least we arranged for Same Day Discharge.

    We are looking forward to having it over with. =^. .^= =^. .^=

    1. Prolly won't work that way, lol! You get 'em when they're feeling chipper, HE gets 'em when they're feeling crummy. . . .

      Gosh, hard to believe they're that old, though! They've come through a whole heckuva lot in their tiny lives.

    2. Thanks, puddle. I fear they'll think I abandoned them. Poor little sweeties! We have had a long line of kitties who came to us traumatised in one way or another. So we are sincerely hoping to avoid trauma for these kitties. Considering all they've been through we've done pretty well by them. They are sweet and don't hold grudges, they lick each others faces (sometimes at the same time!), and they assume everybody loves them. I hate to see that marred. They haven't been apart since Spinnaker joined us five days after Mizzen did. And the vet is going to let them stay together until it's time to pre-sedate them for the tests before surgery. I'll just be glad when it's over, they're back together, they're home, on good pain meds and healing well. =Sigh=

  4. Could someone explain to me why being a total bitch to the woman who gave birth to you could *possibly* be considered acceptable behavior?

    Rhetorical question, really. Just needed to vent.

  5. Renee, I wouldn't call it acceptable.
    I would definitely call it common.
