So the Higgs Boson lives; the void is not a vacuum but a plenum from which all things manifest in symmetrical pairs, which then proceed to interact. Cue Nagarjuna (ca 200 CE) and Hegel (ca 1800 CE) [not that the ideas were necessarily original with them].
I know it's less than traditional, but I finally pulled together a few of the pictures of our tree that was damaged (again), and there's a new post. Certainly don't mean to step on any toes, and, yay for fireworks, America, and all that. :)
