He wanted to speak to the National Governor's Association and it was holding its gathering in Vermont? Why? Just passing by on the way to the Land of Nod. Got off well before sundown today, and made it home in time to murder some weeds. Miyoko didn't want me to be out and working in the garden, or carrying anything at all, but I was OK. Hearing murmurs from a few muscles that have gotten out of practice, though.
"WASHINGTON — Big business groups like the Chamber of Commerce spent millions of dollars in 2010 to elect Republican candidates running for the House. The return on investment has not always met expectations..."
The Goobey let me sleep until almost 7:30! He tried earlier, but I tried, too -- gave him a FIRM no (which I didn't expect him to accept, but which he did -- bless his heart!)
Faded about 11 last night. And slept like the proverbial log.
BBB is still there this morning. For what it's worth. The Puritopians were out in force last night, with Phil fighting the good battle for *doing something* ~~ but it really looks less and less viable to me.
My buntings are back!! The only bird that shows a persistent interest in my house is the lady bunting. Have no idea why? But this is the fifth year that I'm aware of that she's buzzed me.
Now, see, I half expected someone to ask about my past history and who the father was; but I guess my reputation precedes me. 8-)
Eldest is in Brussels to serve as international referee at a big TaeKwonDo tournament. He left last night and returns Tuesday. He got there fine around 2:30pm.

Excellent.
ReplyDeleteOf course the better part of valour is to listen to your better half. ;-)
ReplyDeleteBTW, did you know I have a son in Belgium?
ReplyDeleteNope! Which one. And why? And for how long?

ReplyDeleteThis, of course, does *not* include the Phoebes who build here nearly yearly. But they're programmed to: buntings are bush nesters. . . .
