Alan -- so glad about the continuing improvement. As a knee sufferer from time to time (currently *good*) you truly have my sympathy! May it continue.
Been sleeping pretty well. Only waking because of the diuretic. And then slipping right back to sleep. May this also continue. Still a tiny bit of residual hip pain, with no know etiology. Except perhaps 70 plus years of wear and tear.
*Finally* got a sweater last night! None of the ones mentioned, lol! A soft sweet cream color pullover. For six bucks. To be matched with a pair of pull on cream colored pair of pants. Am having a helluva time shopping in mediums, lol! For one thing, it doesn't seem to actually *mean* anything. Last night alone, looking over twenty or so cardigans in medium, the bust size ran from 32" around to 50" around. . . . I don't mind too big in general, but that's a helluva range. . . .
(Never even bid on the green flamingo sweater -- went looking for green dresses it might be paired with, and zip, nada, nothing. Clearly green is in nobody's colorways this year, or recent past. Found some fifties ones in the right color, but they were already so busy that adding flamingos? Nah.)
Fr. Joe had a beautiful and fitting send off. The readings, hymns, and sentiments were spot on, for who he was and how he is remembered. We are so grateful!
Oddly, I can still read ALL of them on my iPhone!!
Here they are:

1:12pm Fr. Joe had a beautiful and fitting send off. The readings, hymns, and sentiments were spot on, for who he was and how he is remembered. We are so grateful!
[All of the posts were timed Pacific, so I added...] 1:13pm BTW, I'm writing this at 1:13pm!
Did I mention that Fr. Joe's service was held at St. *Joseph's* Cathedral? ;-).
3 bishops, 30+ priests, the cathedral was filled, and they ran out of service programs! How often does that happen for an 89 year old man? Ah, but such a tender soul. I want to be more like him when I grow up. ♥
We had a gorgeous day today: over sixty. I went out to look at the garden, and ended up weeding! I now have a bucket of chickweed for Nancy's chickens. Maybe that'll get them laying again: she's getting *really* frustrated. . . .
Glad the service went well. He sounds like a remarkable man.
Spent some time tonight getting apps for my iPhone. All were free except I sprung $1.99 for Camera Plus Pro. I'm currently thinking it wasn't worth it. I now have 3 camera options on my iPhone. But the truth is that a real camera is the best bet.
But I also got: Find iPhone; AroundMe: WeatherUnderground; MapQuest4Mobile: Wikipedia Mobile: Best Flash Light!; Dropbox; iBird Explorer Lite; Camera Awesome; and the $1.99 Camera Plus Pro.
Find iPhone and Best Flash Light! are my favourites. They work great! iBird is pretty cool too. For serious bird enthusiasts, there is even a $14.99 app! Whoa!
Howard's first, but sharing with Father Joe.
ReplyDeleteYou're in my heart today mz listener. Be well.

ReplyDeleteHey, Renee! Have you heard more about how much you'll be teaching?
ReplyDeleteYeah, what puddle said!
ReplyDeleteThe hens up here are laying! I'll have to ask their keeper what she's feeding them.
ReplyDeleteStill only the one class.
ReplyDeleteHeck!
ReplyDeleteAs Cat would say: "Phooey!"
ReplyDeleteHere's hoping some more classes open up!
Prayers ensuing! ♥

Hope something else will turn up before the new term starts.
