Gotta laugh at the weather guys: it's supposed to be fifty this afternoon, "with a slight chance of snow". . . . Whaduhya think the chance are, lol!?
Made it through the night with just two naproxen. It'll do. Seems to work *much* better for the hip/knee pain than does the acetaminophen. . .
Finally found it: (took this page *two days* and endless tries to actually load, so I'll leave out the link): Potassium occurs naturally in a wide variety of foods. As a result, potassium deficiency is rare. However, poor dietary intake, excessive physical activity, excessive sweating, diarrhea, over-use of diuretics (including alcoholic beverages and beverages containing caffeine), poor water intake, imbalanced intake of sodium, high blood pressure, taking of certain medications, and adherence to a ketogenic diet ( a diet promoting ketosis) can all increase a person’s need for potassium.
Upshot is that I need to keep taking the potassium. And that was prolly why my potassium was low last time in was tested before the Achalasia began to manifest with a vengeance (last May). It was only slightly low, but it didn't leave me much of a platform to come down from.
listener, hopes you're feeling at least a bit better today. Being sick sucks. Big time!
Stevie, who was *never* a lap cat did a pretty good imitation of one today. Was sweet just holding him, scratching his belly, and feeling that whole body purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
After six, and the sky is still just barely light enough to see the trees silhouetted against it. Lovely. And spring IS on the way, eh?
The snow didn't materialize. Yay! But we're down in the thirties, and it will freeze tonight, and tomorrow's gonna be chilly. Cuddle time with the kiddles. (Meaning Stevie and the Goobey.)
So it *did* drop from the 50s to a temperature where snow was possible. I was thinking that wouldn't be totally unusual in Chicago. I've known it to drop 20 degrees in not much over an hour.
Look! It's HOWARD!!
ReplyDeleteOnce again.
