  3. GRiN!! Nope. Just got distracted today. Hunny's away. His favorite aunt in Vermont died, and he's up for the wake and funeral and family gettogethers. But I missed my Sunday morning wake up call. . . . Threw my whole day off.

  4. Pretty warm, pale washed out day. Did not do much at all. Which is okay, lol! Not much is required of me. Gonna take a bath later. Does that count?

  5. Almost front-paged this at HEP, but on second thought I wasn't convinced it merited a second front page post for today. So I posted it here

  6. Haven't had anything to say. Weather just blah and dreary. Been doing some work, checking out NFL scores occasioinally (the Bears played Thrusday), and checking out digital availability of books I want. Songs of the Dying Earth is available digitally in the UK but not in the US. May (or may not) end up getting the book club version.

  7. Pretty funny,Renee. And too close to truth. Am I wrong in thinking cargo is still not scanned?

After she left we turned on our computers for the first time all day, and found something wonderful!

  12. I enjoyed that. Good choice on the red shirt. Made it easy to keep track of him in the videos.

  13. You have to say this for Barbara Bush, she's outspoken and she knows her stuff about who would make a good president. She was sure GWB would never be up to it, and now this:

It looks like Barbara Bush isn't a huge fan of Sarah Palin. In an interview set to air Monday, the former First Lady tells CNN's Larry King that she thinks Palin should stay in Alaska.

  15. Yes, very nice. And red is a consipcuous color under any circumstances. Good for wearing in the woods, for example.

  16. Susan~

I'm not 100% sure, but I think everything in a passenger plane's cargo hold gets scanned. The memory is vague, but I seem to recall a few years ago I saw some discussion of shipping something aire freight and it was mentioned that it would be scanned. Besides, it would make no sense to treat such iterms differently than passenger checked baggage.

I'm even less certain, but I sort of think cargo on FedEx/UPS planes gets scanned as well. Wasn't that how they caught the packages from Yemen?

  17. We had no idear that he was supervising 36 teams in the Gulf!! He's been uber-busy, but none of us really knew the size of what he'd undertaken. He's too humble!
