They're at it again...

The wrens are at it again. They have taken over the middle birdbox. Sigh. This means they have used ALL THREE of ours this season, leaving none for the Bluebirds, Chickadees, Swallows and others who have rented in our yard before. They sure are busy little birds!

  2. Nope, it's a slow day, Cat. I *should* be outside mowing the lawn, but it's about the very last thing I want to do. Prolly have to bite the bullet and do it this evening though. It's getting wild out there.

  3. Susan, did you go out and mow? We're expecting a beautiful day tomorrow, in the 70's. Then a weekend of 87-90! =Whew!=

    Here's the latest from Allyland...

    Thursday, July 1, 2010 1:35 PM, EDT

Ally is all done with chemo.  We had to wait a couple of hours for it to start, because she was not quite hydrated enough.  The actual chemo only took 30 minutes.  Now we get to hang out for 3 hours of post hydration.  Her oncologist wants to make sure Ally pees out as much of the chemo as possible.  Ally is doing a great job today.  (They even opened up the playroom, just for her.)
She took a 15 minute nap.

  4. Nope, listener, I didn't. Seems all my get up and go got up and went. I'm in that horrible state where I'm too tired to really do anything, but not tired enough to sleep. I've been doing a little cooking and a little quilting.

I guess I'll have to tackle the grass tomorrow.

  6. Try a little exercise, Susan. Just go for a walk at sunset or to watch the moonrise. Eat something super nutritious and maybe consider vitamins. Been there. ♥

  7. Son and Future-DIL are enroute to borrow my camera card uploader for a half hour. Gotta go spruce up the house a bit. :-)

  8. Lord have mercy, girl! I already walk over 30,000 steps a day (for real). Any more exercise and I'll croak right off. Found out today my blood test shows I'm mildly anemic. Was hoping my thyroid is asleep on the job to account for the fact that I've been dieting since the beginning of March but have not lost one single pound. Sadly, no. Thyroid is normal. So I guess I'm doomed to be fat. Not a happy camper at all.

  10. Susan!! ♥ Being anemic explains your exhaustion completely!! Do whatever you can to get your iron count back up. I was anemic several years ago and what helped me the most was taking a chelated iron supplement. Also, regarding the dieting and no weight loss, it could be that your body won't give up the pounds while you're anemic, as a safety valve. It could also be that with all the walking you have turned some of your fat-weight into muscle-weight. Don't give up! Get healthy, then try again. I'm sure you'll see better results.
