We watched the fireworks last Sunday lying on the grass looking up...and they exploded over the entire sky like hemisphere-sized northern lights (which I've actually seen before...one November 8th in the late '80's)!

Howard IS first!
ReplyDeleteAnd you're right: GORGEOUS!!
Interesting: of baby's last 20 visitors, only six were using IE. 1. playstation; 1 safari; 3 chrome. The rest were firefox, including one firefox 1. from Russia.
ReplyDeleteReally beautiful here today ~~ low seventies, sunshine, shadow in turn, a bit of a wind. Didn't get my flood, but the spring is running a bit, and I'm grateful.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I hope Manchin doesn't hold the election for Byrd's seat early, and that *he* doesn't run for it. Hate to see another seat flipped to the Republicans.
They have Fire Fox in Russia? Wow.
ReplyDeleteGoodness, listener. Gorgeous is right. That fireworks display is good enough to be by Gandalf. *grin*
ReplyDeleteCatt ~~
ReplyDeleteThe internet is international. So long as you don't have to worry about payment and your government/ISP isn't blocking sites, anybody can download anything from anywhere.
'Tis 'tisn't it?
ReplyDeleteI was impressed, lol!
ReplyDeleteI was *actually* more impressed that you could surf with playstation, lol!
ReplyDeleteIs "internationet" a word?
ReplyDeleteVerily! And I have more where that came from! :-)
ReplyDelete'm just waiting for the dryer. Then we're heading out to see the play "Around the World in 80 Days."
ReplyDeleteYeah. Who knew?
ReplyDeleteBill, I guess I knew that, it just hadn't quite sunk in.
ReplyDeleteHave a good time.
ReplyDeleteEvery time you mention going to a play, I think about the one in Burlington that Edwin didn't do. Went to Ireland instead. It would have been so lovely to meet you there. . . .
ReplyDelete*hug* Puddle
ReplyDeleteThX, Cat!
ReplyDelete=HUG= puddle! ♥
ReplyDeleteYeah, I would have LOVED to see him in a play, and with you!!
You can still come up to a play here sometime if you like. ♥
We took two friends to the play. One is the most non-judgmental woman I have ever met; she is so easy to be oneself with! The other is her 11 year old daughter, who is absolutely wonderful...equally intelligent and sweet. Ahhhhh! Plus she (the 11 year old) had read the book!
We had a blast!
Did I mention they serve the world's best brownies at intermission?
Such a story I have for you!
ReplyDeleteMy eldest granddaughter is 3 going on 14. She has recently become enamoured of none other than teen idol Taylor Swift! Apparently she heard Swift's new song "You Belong With Me" on the radio several times in one day (they were in the car) and began to sing it. So they let her watch a video of it and she got obsessed with learning the song. They sent us a video of her singing it! It's so funny, too, because she had kind of lost her southern accent after they moved north from NC last year. But she sings the songs with Taylor Swift's southern accent!
But that is not all, oh no, that is not all.
On Wednesdays they taken the little girls to Story Hour at the public library which is just a block from their house. This Wednesday as they were walking home, with the girls in the wagon, who should walk out of the church as they were passing by but...Taylor Swift. No kidding! She had been filming in there! This, mind you, is a half block from their house, and can be seen from the house.
Granddaughter's eyes got really big. She turned to her Mom and asked:
"Why did she become real?"
ROFL!! After all, up to this point Taylor Swift was in the same category as Cinderella and Dora the Explorer and all the other characters she has watched on television! I imagine she wanted to know more about it being possible for these characters to come alive!
I told them they really ought to send a video of this three year old singing "Can't you see that I"m the one who understands you?"* to Taylor Swift, also relating Wednesday's story!!
Being a grandparent is SUCH an adventure! :-D
* That's granddaughter's favourite line from the song! Ha! Like I said, "3 going on 14!"
Thank you, the brownies sound scrumptialious, and with life being what it is, ya never know. . . .
ReplyDeleteThe grandbaby story is deloverly, and I'd like to send it to my sis if you wouldn't mind.
Sure, puddle, go ahead! :~)
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
