Wanna Race?
Actually, this was a group of local high school students out practicing maneuvers in heavy air (on a windy day) and they did great. We saw them hauling the *no keel* boats in afterwards, spoke with them and sent them our photos of their adventures. :-)

Flood at the Lighthouse
There is usually a stretch of breakwater visible around this Lighthouse and a full separate breakwater as well, which is presently entirely underwater, due to record local flooding.
That railing between the shore and the Lighthouse is the fishing pier, and it's under water!
The parking lot in the foreground is also covered in water. Amazing!

(At the time, I was pregnant with Son*in*Maine, who was born exactly 5 months later.)

Record Flooding in Vermont
It's not just that the river is flooding over into the fields,
but that you can see the current of the river racing across the fields!

Lake Champlain
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy.
Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that.
Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that."
~ Martin Luther King, Jr.
